About the Author

Julia Serwaa Peterson was born and raised in Ghana, West Africa, for 15 years before moving to the United States and residing in Massachusetts. Adopted at a young age by missionaries, she has always known the goodness of others. 

As a young kid, she has always had a passion for writing about music, poetry, and short stories, as well as for journaling. She attended Holyoke Community College for her Associate in Liberal Arts and Bachelor's degree in Communications and Public Relations at Southern New Hampshire University. 

Since finishing school, she has worked across various media, including editorial, digital, audio podcasts, public relations, and events. She currently works as a freelance writer for the Hollywood Times, Exhibit A, and MXDWN and freelances for other companies. She is also doing PR for Fashion Week Brooklyn, a non-profit organization run by the BK Style Foundation. She worked as a contract syndication writer for Blavity Inc. 

She is looking to continue working in the entertainment industry while pursuing her career as a writer and public relations specialist. She has also been screenwriting and is currently working on her first-ever comedy feature. She's always looking to collaborate to captivate audiences and make magic happen through storytelling.
